Cool Weather Scholar
The weather has been great the last couple of days and yesterday I actually pulled out a long sleeve shirt for Jackson. Yes, long sleeves in September! It's obviously been months since he's had long sleeves on and he did NOT like them! He kept grabbing at his arms and twisting his sleeves pitching a fit until I put him back in short sleeves!

He loves either laying on his tiger (only for two seconds though) or falling on him and rolling off. After many attempts, I was finally able to get a picture.

Our little boy already reading!

Of Late
Not much has been going on lately, except trying to get the
new house in order and things put where we want them. At times
this is difficult since Jackson has once again become
an insomniac and into everything at all hours. He never slows down and constantly fights sleep. He seems to be enjoying his new room with all of his toys in there and will go in his room and play by himself, for a few minutes at least! When we check on him, he has usually scattered diapers everywhere
and pulled stuff out of his dresser, but so it goes, he's having fun

Tales of the ER
We made a run to the ER last night, or rather this morning.
Jackson woke up around 1:00 and was trying his hardest to breathe, so we jumped in the car and sped off. Thankfully since we live in a small town, we're within minutes (or seconds last night) from the local hospital. Turns out the little guy has croup and is once again having to use a nebulizer. The last time around with a nebulizer was awful, but he's a little older now and we're experienced. We needed some pedialyte since he got sick everywhere while at the hospital, so we headed to Wal-Mart and realized that at 4:00 am and the remnants of Hurricane Gustav blowing in make for great parking and no lines. Poor Zach has trial everyday this week and got hardly any sleep last night.
loved the little Uga that a nurse gave him. I have
no clue where she would have found that little
Georgia bulldog at a hospital in small town Arkansas.
Speaking of Gustav, we're more than ready for this thing
to blow over-the wind and rain have been awful for almost
24 hours now and forecasts show more tomorrow. I can't
imagine what it must be like when a hurricane is fully formed
and staring you in the face.

His Daddy Made Over
Some big shoes to fill . . .
Attacking the camera-this is what invariably
happens anytime I bring it out
My helping hand-I reached for the next dish
and found this, climbing just like his Daddy
Hmm . . . empty, what's next?
And Grammy, we love you, wish you a speedy recovery,
and can't wait to see you with a straight back and 3 inches taller!

Little Boy
Zach was able to move the furniture into the new house last weekend and we plan to get the rest of the "little" things this weekend. We're slowly getting things unpacked-Jackson is not much help! His room is huge compared to his last room and it's great having all of his toys in his room and being able to play in there. Since being in this house, he has really began to walk a great deal more and not crawl nearly as much. But, he doesn't sleep well in this house for some reason and has become quite the night owl. It took 11 months to get him to sleep through the nights and now we're back getting up again. I guess he wants us to appreciate those few nights we get a full night's sleep. He's also lately becoming more of a little boy. He makes vroom noises when playing with his trucks, can say "uh oh" and attempt to brush his hair and teeth! He's so cute and always into something!
get around pretty good, but I think he would rather still be barefoot.

New Address
Zach and I are moving! We closed on our new house today and hope to be moved in by this weekend. This move should be easier since it's less than a mile compared to our last move of 200 miles. We're excited about more room and a larger yard is always nice! Zach's commute to work will stay the same--0.4 mile!
Great room looking toward the front door.
and he loves hearing his echo, so whenever we're
over there he squeals the entire time!
Just a glimpse of the backyard
which is already landscaped!
Wedding Weekend
We headed to Alabama and Georgia this past weekend for our niece Amanda's wedding. Although in mid-August, the weather the entire weekend was wonderful! The wedding was outside and the weather for the big day was cool and perfect!
Just some pictures from the weekend!
Jackson and Emma both trying to drive!
