Here Kitty

We were at Zach's parents' the week before Christmas, where they had two sweet little kittens that were staying inside during the cold weather . . . Jackson's cousin, Emma, most appropriately named them Emma and Jackson!
I can't say the same for the little kittens, but Jackson sure had fun!

Within a couple of days, when the kitties spotted Jackson, they darted and hid until the coast was clear! I can't say that I blame them

Finally holding him a little better!

Christmas in Pictures

Our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in some pictures!
Although the pictures don't show it, Jackson has been sick most of the day. Every time he got sick, it got all over him and us. I have washed so many loads of laundry today that I think everything in this house that can be washed, has been washed at least once. The sheets on his bed, our bed, Jackson's clothes, our clothes, his blankets, towels--the list could go on and on. Thankfully, he's been feeling better since earlier this evening and has been able to keep a little food in his stomach, and he has felt like checking out some of his new things.
Although Jackson wasn't feeling well today, we have a enjoyed seeing my family today and all of our family over the last two weeks! And without further ado, some pictures from last night and today--there are a lot!!

Almost But Not Quite

Taking pictures for Christmas cards is always interesting. Here are several that didn't make the cut for our card this year

One of the first pictures I took and such a sweet expression, but I couldn't crop it where Jackson would not look like he's in jail!

Typical cooperation

The one Zach liked best for the card (minus the house sticking out of his head)

Such a cut-up!

Dear Santa . . .

Maybe next year we can have a long conversation about how great I've been all year, those toys that I'm just dying to get my little hands on, and just where exactly the North Pole is.

But for now, I think I'll just cling to my mom and dad and stare at my cookie trying to ignore the fact that you're right next to me and scaring me to death. Maybe next year, I'll get excited about your white beard, elves, and reindeer.
Yes, maybe next year.

Love, Jackson
