Finally!

After more than a week of rain and clouds, we finally saw this yesterday! Jackson was finally able to get out of the house and run around in the yard some.

Getting warmed up

He decided it would be fun to collect as many acorns as he could and then throw them at me. He thought it was just hilarious! I guess that's my payback for following him around with the camera.

"Eat, Sadie!"

The bottom fell out once more early this morning and I thought we were headed for another week like the one in the post below . . . here's keeping our fingers crossed we see more sun

Slow

Well, we've had another slow week with not much to report. It's hard getting a picture of Jackson these days. As soon as he spots the camera, he immediately turns his back. I did manage a couple of pictures, though.

I caught him running (why his hair looks like it does) and making a face

I'm sure he was telling me something about the dirt in his hand here. He was filthy--he had rubbed dirt all in his hair.

Well, that's it, short and sweet! I figured the grandparents were feeling picture deprived, so here are a couple!

Bumps and Bruises

We've had a busy week, but no pictures to really show for it. If you were to see Jackson right now, you might think he's just returned from a battle (and maybe that his parents don't keep an eye on him--but, really, we do). He has bruises all over him. Last week, he was terrorizing Sadie by chasing her around on his tricycle (one without pedals, he just scoots). She stopped running from him and Jackson ran into her and toppled over the tricycle hitting his check on the ground and leaving a mark. The next day he was playing superman on the couch, performed a death-defying stunt, rolled off and hit his legs on the coffee table. Now he has two big bruises on the back of both legs. Then, he was outside and mosquitoes attacked him. The bottom of his poor little legs are covered in bites . . . and then ants got a hold of him. He takes it all in stride and nothing slows him down. Here are a few pictures from the last week or two, before the battle wounds.

Rumor Has It

April 2010!!

Splish n Splash

Or not!
Jackson really wasn't into the swimming pool! We went to my parents' this weekend and let Jackson take a dip in my aunt and uncle's pool. He enjoyed everything outside of the pool--the dog's food, the basketball goal, and the diving board! Maybe next time he'll turn into a little fish! I forgot my camera, so I swiped some of my mom's pictures!

Bright and Early

We were outside playing bright and early this morning! Not long after he woke up, Jackson saw his shoes and started trying to put them on. So, before breakfast and still in our pajamas, we headed outside!

Taking a break!
Zach has been working on a rock path and has some sand out, so Jackson has been taking advantage of the sand and digs in it every time we step outside. He usually gets both fists full and dumps the sand on a butterfly bush! While he's sitting in this picture, there is even a little pile next to him.

Playing around and having fun in the nice morning weather!

Faces

He would do this a few months ago and quit until recently--

Jackson will do these faces and as soon as he sees the camera, he immediately quits, making it a bit difficult to catch one!

Silly boy!

Meltdown

The other day I was doing laundry, and as I was removing clothes from the dryer, I noticed all the clothes had pink streaks and were generally faded pink. What on earth? I looked a little closer and realized a crayon had somehow found its way into the dryer . . . and melted. I was horrified!

One of the t-shirts that had streaks all over and faded pink. After I washed it several times, it was surprisingly almost as good as new (expect for a few little leftover pink dots!).

The suspected culprit checking out his work!
Thankfully, the majority of the clothes weren't "good" clothes. There were only a couple of Zach's collared shirts that he wears to work, and I was able to "save" them with a ton of Shout and washing several more times.

I sprayed this down with a good bit of stain remover and every mark came out of it!
The dryer also appears to be marked for life. The inside of it is covered in pink stripes! I tried cleaning it, but to no avail. The next time I used it, I did worry if the leftover in the dryer would melt and get on those clothes, but so far, so good.
