Calm Before the Storm

Jackson took his first steps earlier this week.

Right now, he has to be distracted before he steps

without holding on. I'm sure we just think we're

constantly chasing after him right now!

Fireworks

We went to Lake Chicot last night so Jackson

could see the fireworks!

Cue that it's time to pack up!

Who needs a pool . . .

when you have a water hose!

I was going to fill his pool up and let the water warm for

a little while when I turned around and saw Jackson was standing

(without any help) and had grabbed the water hose out of the

pool. I didn't get the pool very full and needless to say, he

never made it into the pool today. The water hose was just

too much fun!

Always tastes better this way!

Time Flies

It's hard to believe that this time next month Jackson will be 1!

The year has definitely flown by with him around.

About to get into something, I'm sure! We're having
to move everything off the bottom of bookshelves and
coffee table. Not long ago my aunt told me that my
cousin was 3 years old before she could put things
back out and he wouldn't bother anything. I guess
we're in for the same!

Toys, toys, toys

Well, I guess like most parents, I'm not really sure why we buy
toys for Jackson when he apparently already has a house full!
I thought I heard some peculiar noises and I walked around
the corner to find him once again "playing" with the printer.
Zach affectionately refers to him as our one man demolition team.

He's really into buttons and details right now!

Hello!

Jackson has toy phone and naturally we've been

trying to get him to say hello when it rings. Yesterday

the home phone rang and while I went to answer it

I kept saying hello, hello. Then the little cutie repeated

in his own language hewlwhoa!

Well, we're finally back home for good at least for

a little while. We started May off going to Tennesse to

get Coach, then Jackson and I went to my parents,

the following week to Zach's parents then back to my parents,

then back to Zach's for a family reunion this past weekend.

Thankfully Jackson travels well, it's just getting him back

on some sort of a schedule that is difficult. He did surprisingly well

for a few nights and last night wasn't so great. His naps during the day

haven't been good, but hopefully he'll get back to normal.

Jackson woke up one morning with his hair sticking up, but

in the picture it's so light and fine that you can't see it.

He has finally started to get hair and it's actually starting

to curl some in the back!

Our insomniac actually sleeping one morning, but not in his bed!

New toy for Jackson! He doesn't like to walk behind it yet unless I'm holding one of his hands!
