First and Last

Jackson went to his last day of kindergarten today!!  What a year he has had!  We started off with a teacher that wasn't best suited for him leading to him dreading school, and he closed the second half of the year with the perfect teacher for him and making all As!  We couldn't be prouder of him and his accomplishments this year.
Jackson's first day of kindergarten on August 8,
and this morning on his last day.

Katherine doesn't have a last day like Jackson,
but I took her picture anyway for a comparison!
They've both had some big adjustments this year with new schools, both of us working again, and more recently with us moving, and they've adjusted well to everything.  We are all enjoying the summer break!

Out With The Old, In With The New

We finally have a snaggletooth!!
Jackson's bottom two teeth came out today, er, were pulled out.  Poor baby had to have his first two loose teeth pulled out by the dentist.  His teeth have been loose for at least 6 weeks and were still no where near ready to pull.  The problem started when one of his permanent teeth started coming in and is now almost all the way in and not in the right place.  Now that the two teeth are gone, hopefully the new one will move into a better position.  I took him to the dentist today not expecting to have his teeth pulled and didn't prepare Jackson for it.  Following today's ordeal, Jackson was furious at me and his dentist.  I can't vouch for his feelings toward the dentist, but thankfully by the time he went to bed tonight, he was back to loving me once again.

Home Sweet Home

We're busy unpacking once again.
After almost 3 years of stalking one neighborhood,
we finally found a house!  And it's on the lake!
We now have an extra bedroom and are enjoying the extra space indoors and outdoors.  Now that we are on the lake, Jackson and Katherine keep asking when we're getting a boat.
Jackson took a dip in the lake over the weekend.  I turn my back on the boys for a few minutes and they jump in.  Of course, Katherine joined them.

We have also discovered that we have a furry friend that drops by for visits.
Maybe one day he'll let us get close.
We've been in the house just over a week, and although we're enjoying it, dealing with the sellers and getting into this house has not been pleasant.  They also left the interior of the house needing more work than we thought, so we're coming up with a game plan on what we want to do and when.  All of that aside, we're looking forward to being in this house for years to come!
